7th Inning Stretch

A Family Respite Ministry

What is 7th Inning Stretch?

“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”

- Genesis 2:2-3

As we read in Genesis 2:2-3, even God needed time to rest. That's why 7th Inning Stretch provides families the opportunity to enjoy rest from the ongoing responsibilities of caring for an individual with special needs.

Our programs engage kids with special needs and their siblings in a supportive environment through fun activities where they can build friendships, learn about God, and experience His love. At the same time, parents can feel free to do whatever they would like with their time of rest: go on a date, catch up with a friend, take a nap, or whatever will allow them to rest.

Our volunteer team us made up of caring adults who are trained to implement your child’s support plan in the context of our overall program. All of our volunteers have completed the necessary Pennsylvania child clearance requirements.
