A couple of years later they had a second move to Mechanicsburg and have enjoyed the last 9 years making it their home. Megan and her family began attending Daybreak in 2016 after months of “church shopping” and not finding the right fit. Their kids’ love for KidMin is what kept them returning but it was also Daybreak’s welcoming “come as you are but don’t stay that way” encouragement that committed them to Daybreak. Also having a child with disabilities, they found Daybreak to be welcoming and accommodating, allowing every person in the family to feel supported. Currently, Megan serves as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Ministry Leader. Alan was born and raised in Mechanicsburg and began attending Daybreak Easter of 2003.

It was that day that he discovered a life-changing journey with Jesus and asked him to be

his Lord and Savior! His first impressions were that it was an environment he felt

comfortable in. He recalls always being greeted warmly by people. He then heard

music that resonated with him. That, combined with messages that were relevant,

Bible-focused, and left him with “application steps,” gave him a home where he knew he

could grow and experience God’s goodness for his life, alongside others on the journey.

His favorite thing about Daybreak is that we’re a family on a mission who is willing to listen

for God’s direction and make decisions to further His Kingdom. Alan has served in various
